Atkinson Architects are pleased to have three projects currently under construction across Devon to create a combined ‘live – work’ facility. Sites at Clayhidon, Cornworthy and Tavistock – finding viable future uses for Grade II Listed barns.
All are designed to high environmental standards to be low-energy homes. The barns will be carefully restored using traditional materials whilst the new wings and extensions will be constructed using contemporary materials to bring contrast and counterpoint – pre-oxidised rust-coloured roofing, larch cladding and bronze window frames.
Working closely with skilled regional builders, each project is moving ahead at pace during the summer months.
