ENHANCING THE SETTING
Atkinson Architects believes that the relationship between inside and outside is fundamental and exhibited in the interior design and landscape architecture content of our completed projects. Buildings are embedded within their contextual setting, working with the flow of the topography.
The South West peninsula has particular climatic conditions that inform our architecture - salty, driven winds, near-horizontal rain, moorland damp, strong sunlight summers and mild winters. Every site is appraised to make sure these factors are understood and reflected in the chosen building form, orientation and palette of materials.
Atkinson Architects work closely with ecology and landscape specialists to ensure protection of the wonderful flora and fauna that exist across the region in both urban and rural environments.
