Atkinson Architects is delighted to have received listed building and planning approvals for the renovation of a Modernist landmark at the Dartington Estate.

Full client go-ahead for the repair and renovation of a 1930’s iconic dwelling designed by Robert Hening – collaborator with William Lescaze, who between them created Hill House and the group of white pavilions along Warren Lane.

Described by Historic England as internationally significant buildings, our project includes:
New roof structure and weatherproofing with recessed solar PV panels. New mineral coated render, window repairs, full internal thermal retrofit and the conversion of the garage into an art studio.
