Atkinson Architects is pleased to be on site with the renovation and conversion of three separate Grade II Listed coach house buildings in South East Cornwall around St Germans.
The Georgian Manor at Sconner has a derelict ‘at risk of collapse’ coach house that will be fully restored for use as private workshop, storage and creative studio space. We are working very closely with ecologists, specialist cut roof joiners, lime plasterers and the main builders to ensure that the sensitively renovated building can be completed by early summer 2025 under the terms of the Natural England licence. Other coach house renovations at Trewin House and Polbathic are also underway.
These historically vital farm buildings are both beautiful and functional. Their heritage value cannot be underestimated as they form integral parts of farmsteads that are easily recognisable within their rural landscape settings.
We have many live projects at different stages to repair, renovate and provide a new lease of life for former sawmills, shippons, slaughterhouses, watermills, linhays and stables.
