Atkinson Architects completed conservation and new design works for The North and South Lodges at Maristow. Externally, the Grade II Listed buildings have been sensitively repaired with solid Dartmoor granite stone infill, Delabole slate roofs, traditional leadwork, and new hardwood joinery. This ‘invisible’ external conservation work contrasts with the internal improvements to the dwellings – where highly insulated rooms, sustainable heating, and low energy design create a comfortable modern living environment.
