Atkinson Architects have a very hands-on approach when commissioned to work with listed buildings and heritage assets. We have extensive knowledge of traditional south-west vernacular buildings, materials and construction techniques. This informs our on-site investigation into how buildings evolve and their physical condition.
We are pleased to see several approved listed building projects progressing on site across Dartmoor, The Tamar Valley and The South Hams. Including the repair of medieval barns with scantle slate roofs, lime torching, cobb wall construction, straw bale insulation and traditional oak joinery.
