Grade II Star Listed Georgian Estate
The Grange Estate occupies a commanding position overlooking Salcombe Estuary with tiered landscape grounds cascading down towards the water.
The principal Georgian Villa in the ‘cottage orné’ style is built atop a distinctive curved stone medieval garrison and munitions store.
Atkinson Architects have overseen the complete restoration of buildings from a dilapidated state including the whole main villa exterior and interior, colonnade, stone retaining walls and gardens (with Eden Design).
The project is a balance between traditional conservation techniques for the repair of stonework, plaster, joinery and metalwork alongside more contemporary architectural interventions.
