Grade II Listed Long Barn
Rafters Barn is located on the upper slopes of the South Huish AONB valley and forms part of a converted Nineteenth-century farmstead and stone barns.
We have completely transformed the barn interior by opening up and linking the living space, dining, hallway and kitchen - this creates a much more spacious and light dwelling. New garden room extensions allow spectacular views across the sweeping valley and woods down to the river.
In reference to the traditional timber agricultural buildings found around the valley, the new buildings are clad in waney edge Douglas Fir shiplap boarding, Delabole slate, terracotta, lead and oak. All left untreated to weather naturally.
