Long Term Stewardship Strategies For Rural Estates
We have completed several masterplans and conserved dozens of buildings for rural estates to ensure their long term stewardship of property and land assets. Grant funding applications from bodies such as Natural England, Historic England, The Duchy of Cornwall, The Crown Estate and South West Regional Development Association.
All our works adhere to ICOMOS and Historic England principles for assessing heritage contexts, their significance and character. The resulting conservation and repair strategies have been implemented over many years to protect the rich and varied architecture of Devon and Cornwall.
OUR PROJECTS INCLUDE:
The Maristow Estate - dating from 1760 on the banks of The River Tavy. Grade II star listed mansion, villas, both and walled kitchen gardens.
South Pool Estate - mid 19th Century estuary land and buildings including a scheduled ancient monument harbour setting. Restoration of buildings includes boat masters houses, stone waterfront quayside and jetties.
Edmeston Estate - mid 18th Century onwards traditional Devon farmstead with associated barns, agricultural and equestrian facilities.
